Signed photo from Rocketman to Wayne Davies. | This Article contains information about 1st flight covers that were created by Wayne Davies and carried by Rocketman. I have also included supporting documents including photos, a letter and a link to the video of Rocketman flying at the Ramadan Olympics. Wayne Davies first saw Rocketman over the Rose Bowl in 2006. He then decided to write him a letter to ask if he had ever produced a 1st flight cover of his rocket belt flight. Dan Schlund (Rocketman), replied no, and asked what a 1st flight cover was. Wayne then explained, and also added that his father was a rocket scientist, a designer and engineer for the Atlas program, chief engineer for Project Gemini, radio communications moon shot. Dan then called Wayne on the phone asking if he would be interested in making a cover for a rocket belt flight at the Ramadan games in ABU-DHABI. Wayne agreed. The Ramadan games started on September 16th, 2007. The Prince (Sheikh) Mansour bin Zayed lit the torch and Rocketman flew to a height of 30 ft with the covers on board in his backpack, where he lit a ceremonial flame. There are only two covers in the world one owned by Rocketman and the other by Wayne, making these covers super rare. ROCKETMAN Website YouTube VIDEO | This is a document that confirms the date an location of the flight of the 1st flight covers.
